More Snow

It’s snowing again. While I know many people were over the snow two snow storms ago, I still find it beautiful. To be fair, I am not greatly inconvenienced by the snow. I do not own a car. I do not have long treacherous commutes to contend with. I spend a lot of time watching the snow fall from warm spots indoors or walking through the quiet streets as they slowly become coated in white. The snow reminds me to slow down. I gaze out my windows in a meditative state, watching the snow fall. I remain awe-struck that no two flakes are the same. Bottom line, winter will not last. The snow will melt and give way to spring. While the snow and winter may feel never-ending right now they will be distant memories in just a few short months. For now, I will soak in the beauty of the falling snow.

About djunapassman

I teach yoga, write, and edit. I live in a Brooklyn neighborhood that is changing faster than I can, or care to, keep up with. Manhattan still beckons me to her island a few subways stops away, reminding me of when I lived amongst her daily hustle and bustle.
