I’m Still Here

I woke up to a cool cross breeze in my apartment this morning. I stepped outside to find an almost fall-like feel in the air – brisk breeze and warm sun without oppressive heat or humidity. Could it really be the end of July? Had I pulled a Rip Van Winkle and magically woken up at the end of September? Nope. It was just a brief respite from the heat and humidity. It was the weather perfectly matching the shifting and changing of the tides I have begun to feel internally. The last few months have presented challenges on multiple levels. Last night, for the first time in quite a while, I felt a sigh. Not a sigh of relief, but of knowledge that the beauty of impermanence is that nothing, no situation, no feeling, no physical sensation, no thought lasts forever. With that sigh came the realization that it is time to seriously get back to writing and blogging, among other things. So, here I am…about to get back in the saddle and regularly post once again. Watch out…

About djunapassman

I teach yoga, write, and edit. I live in a Brooklyn neighborhood that is changing faster than I can, or care to, keep up with. Manhattan still beckons me to her island a few subways stops away, reminding me of when I lived amongst her daily hustle and bustle.
